GIFT # 8 The Rule of 5

When I quit my job to start my first business I had no idea how to make it happen – I only knew I had to find a way. I was beyond the point of stress and couldn’t take one more day of being imprisoned in a world where 40 to 80 hours of my week were defined by achieving other people’s goals.

I quit my job, got a loan, and opened a small retail/service business in a strip mall. It was exciting to set it all up – but then I sat there — day after day, staring at the phone, willing it to ring.

After 3 months, my appointment book remained empty, my bills were piling up, my employees were starting to consider other options, and I thought I might have to admit defeat, until one morning I woke up with an idea and, with little to lose, I put it into motion.

That one little idea…

==> Brought in weekly revenues greater than I’d made in a month at my old job…
